Summer Reading Picks From Hannover House to Launch at Book Expo

Hannover House will publish three new books for the Summer Reading season, with announcements and promotions commencing at the Book Expo America convention in New York City in May. "Blind Vision" is a historic novel of Jewish persecution by Vivian Kaplan, author of the St. Martin's Press bestseller "Ten Green Bottles." A similarly-themed, but non-fiction history of a Jewish girl's participation in the French Resistance during World War II is told in Brenda Hancock's account of her mother's secret life in "One of the Lucky Ones: The True Story of Nicole Holland." The physical, emotional and dramatic conflicts of a man's mid-life crisis are skillfully presented in James Danielson's debut novel, "Sable Shore." Each of these three titles will be released in both print and E-Book formats by Hannover House, the entertainment and publishing division of Target Development Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: TDGI). "Each of these titles has significant and accessible readerships that we hope to reach with our promotional and advertising campaigns," said Fred Shefte, President of Hannover House and Target Development Group, Inc. "Our booth and presence at Book Expo this year will kick-start the release activities and position the titles for placement with the major retail accounts."

Hannover House had exhibited at Book Expo each year until 2006, after which time the company's titles were displayed at promoted by wholesaler NBN Books. The reinstatement of direct exhibition at Book Expo is designed to enhance the attention provided to the Hannover House titles, as well as to accommodate the growing list of publication properties.

Release dates, title specifics, format pricing and item codes for each title will be released prior to the Book Expo America event.

"BLIND VISION" is the explosive, riveting, and meticulously researched literary historical novel about one of the most horrific times in the late 15th century when thousands of New Christians in Spain, forced to convert from Judaism to Christianity, were accused of still being Jews, tortured, and then burned at the stake. All of this was led by the Vatican appointed Grand Inquisitor, Tomas de Torquemada, and King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain, who is currently on the path to sainthood.

It is also the story of the great explorer, Christopher Columbus, whose voyage to the New World was only made possible by the money raised by the Jews and Crypto-Jews of the time. He took as many of them with him as he could when he left Spain on the exact day in 1492, when the Monarchs expelled all Jews under penalty of death. From personal interviews in South America, the US, and Spain, plus correspondence with international academics and the use of many archival sources, author Vivian Kaplan has discovered a wealth of information. Included is the shocking conclusion that Christopher Columbus was undoubtedly Jewish, based on the true identity of his natural mother and the author's detailed deciphering of his enigmatic signature, done in her book for all to see, that has baffled the world until now.

More detailed synopses for "ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES" and "SABLE SHORE" will be included in the pre-Book Expo announcement release. Hannover House book titles are available through most major book retailers, including Barnes & Noble, Borders Group, Hudson Group, Books-A-Million, Hastings and all major internet book selling sites.
